‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday September 28: Jack Pushes for Divorce at Any Cost – Faith Gives Mariah a Scare – Hilary Becomes GC Buzz Host

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, September 28, tease that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will refuse to give up hope. At the hospital, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) announces that Jack’s (Peter Bergman) lawyer has passed along a settlement offer. Phyllis replies that she doesn’t want Jack’s money. She just wants her husband back.

Michael suggests that Phyllis should think about it. Jack is ready to move on. Summer (Hunter King) arrives and offers to let Phyllis stay at her place instead of the club. Meanwhile, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) urges Jack to talk to a news outlet with a better reputation than GC Buzz. She wants Jack to tell his side of the story and protect their business.

Jack doesn’t like the idea. He just wants to put all of this behind him. Ashley worries that the divorce could drag on for months, but Jack assures her that his offer was generous. Michael appears and says his client wouldn’t take it. Jack and Ashley hope Michael can change Phyllis’ mind. Ash thinks Phyllis should let go so Jack can begin to heal.

At the park, Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) discuss GC Buzz. Hilary feels like they’d make a good team if they kept it on the air. Devon agrees and says Hilary would make the perfect host. She fears the public won’t like her, but Devon thinks that’s nonsense. He believes Hilary can gain the trust of the audience. Devon wants to share gossip with a conscience.

A short time later, they give things a try at GV Buzz headquarters. Hilary doesn’t like how the script is worded, so Devon says she should do her own thing. When Hilary speaks from her heart, everything turns out great. Still, “The Young and the Restless” viewers can expect this new job to bring some drama.

At Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) studio, she chats with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) about her date with Kevin (Greg Rikaart). Chloe isn’t sure they should even call it a date. She doesn’t know about this reunion idea. Chloe brings up Delia (Sophie Pollono) and Chelsea agrees losing someone you love changes everything.

Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) bursts through the door and asks for Chelsea’s help. She was with Mariah (Camryn Grimes) in the park when she realized she needed a dress for her birthday. At the police station, Kevin reads a text from Chloe thanking him for last night. Suddenly, Mariah rushes in. She says Faith is missing and Kevin gets the details on where they were at.

A call comes in from Chelsea saying that Faith is safe at the studio. Chelsea has a fitting for Faith while they wait for Mariah. Faith gabs excitedly about her birthday party. She wants Chelsea to come and adds that she’s worried about Nick (Joshua Morrow).

When Mariah and Kevin show up, they give Faith some compliments about her dress. Mariah scolds Faith for running off alone and talk turns back to the party. Faith wants everyone there, so Chloe and Kevin agree. Mariah gives them a look as they get flirty. She tells Faith they should go.

Chloe questions Kevin about the situation and hints that they could hurt Mariah. Kevin just wants to see where their relationship could lead. Chelsea pipes up that Kevin should kiss Chloe. Elsewhere, Faith tells Mariah she’s sorry for inviting Chloe and Kevin. She mentions that Mariah looked jealous.

At the Abbott estate, Phyllis wonders if she needs to take the settlement. She knows Jack wants her out of his life, but she’s not ready to give up on her marriage. Summer thinks Jack could forgive Phyllis eventually. Jack walks in and wants Phyllis to stop delaying the divorce proceedings. He demands that Phyllis give him his key back and get out of the house.

Later, Jack tells Ashley that he doesn’t care what this divorce costs him. He wants Phyllis out of the picture forever. At Summer’s apartment, Phyllis is upset about how her life looks now. She doesn’t have a home or a job anymore. Michael shows up and states that Phyllis can name her price. Jack and Ashley are desperate for a signature.

Phyllis reiterates that she doesn’t want the money. She suggests that they can keep every last cent as long as she gets to stay at Jabot. Y&R rumors hint that Phyllis’ move could lead to trouble. Stick with the CBS soap for updates on what’s in store.
