‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday December 28: Chelsea and Nick Share Kiss – Billy and Victoria Get Big News – Mariah Exposes Hilary

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, December 28, tease that guests will arrive the for the New Year’s Eve gala. At Top of the Tower, Abby (Melissa Ordway) talks to Jack (Peter Bergman) about Victor (Eric Braeden) saving the foundation’s event. After Jack walks off, Lily (Christel Khalil) notes that Abby seems troubled. Abby states that this would’ve been her first anniversary.

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) checks in briefly, but eventually takes off. She doesn’t feel like partying. Later, Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) informs Nick (Joshua Morrow) that she wants to be with him for New Year’s Eve. She wants Chelsea, Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) and Christian to join their celebration, too.

Nick and Chelsea go along with Faith’s wishes. They watch a movie and Faith ends up falling asleep. Nick urges Chelsea to stick around while he puts Faith to bed. When he returns, they discuss resolutions. Chelsea hopes to live in the moment more often. She’s glad she didn’t have to be alone tonight. Nick leans in for a kiss.

At Brash and Sassy, a security guard walks in with updates on their eviction reversal. Billy (Jason Thompson) wonders what happened, but Cane (Daniel Goddard) doesn’t need answers. He’s just happy they can stay. After Cane leaves for the gala, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) suggests that Jack (Peter Bergman) had a change of heart. Billy doubts it.

When Billy hints that he isn’t interested in attending the benefit, Victoria insists that he’s going. Meanwhile, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) frets about using the teleprompter at the gala. Devon (Bryton James) hands Hilary some wine to loosen her up. He promises she’ll be great.

At GC Buzz, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) once again recalls being tripped by Hilary. An employee brings over the speech for the teleprompter. He warns that every word needs to be scrutinized. Mariah contends that she’s got everything covered. She doesn’t need him to come along and run it.

At the event, Mariah watches everyone applaud and says she won’t be the one taking the fall tonight. Devon tracks Mariah down and points out that Hilary has teleprompter concerns. Mariah suggests that she’s got it under control. Uh-oh. “The Young and the Restless” has a shocker on the way.

Abby finds Ravi (Abhi Sinha) and introduces herself. Ravi is surprised to learn that Abby is Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) daughter. He looks over at Ash, who waves in the distance. Nearby, Billy grills Jack about why he dropped his eviction plans. Jack refuses to divulge anything.

Elsewhere, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) passes along the news of Jack and Victor’s deal. Victoria listens to Nikki’s revelation and fills Billy in. Later, Hilary steps up to the podium and presents a video that promotes the foundation. While it plays, Ashley urges Billy to curb his alcohol consumption.

The video concludes and the auction kicks off. Devon outbids Cane and Billy on a new sports car. Cane decides to purchase one of Chelsea’s dresses for Lily. The last item up for bidding is a trip to a vineyard.

When Hilary reads the teleprompter, she notes that the person who visits the vineyard should be careful. He or she wouldn’t want to get caught on a vine and fall because someone pulled it. Hilary says that’s what she did to Mariah on live television. The crowd seems stunned and confused.

Hilary is mortified by what she just read. Mariah turns to Devon and insists that people need to know the real Hilary. Y&R rumors hint that Mariah may have set off a startling chain reaction. Some unexpected consequences could be looming. Stay tuned to see what’s in store.
