‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victoria Avoids Villy Reunion – Billy’s Past Behavior Unforgivable?

Billy (Jason Thompson) arrived at the New Year’s Eve bash on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He had a chip on his shoulder, as usual. Yet another reason why Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is remaining resolute in avoiding a reunion with her multiple-time husband.

Before he learned that Jack (Peter Bergman) rescinded Brash and Sassy’s eviction notice Billy contacted the Genoa City Chronicle. He was planning to lambast his brother via that newspaper’s webcast. Now, consider that reactionary choice for a moment.

The very man who turned Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) head was going to publicly call out his brother. Under most circumstances that would be incredible. But as long-time viewers know this is Billy that’s being referenced.

After arriving at the Top of the Tower Billy was informed that one of his enemies was actually responsible for Jack’s seeming change of heart. Yes, the notorious Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) orchestrated the securing of Brash and Sassy’s safe space. That was a double-whammy for Billy-boy, who was guzzling alcohol like a Tower of Babel architect.

Vickie was present at said celebration in this Wisconsin burg. She actually encouraged Billy to come to the party, rather than watch basketball and feel sorry for himself. Yes, Ms. Newman does love this lug. However, she smartly avoided falling back into his arms after recently telling Travis (Michael Roark) to get lost.

The arrival of Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) will introduce another stumbling block into Billy’s hoped-for plans of an eventual ‘Villy’ reunion. Regardless of whatever happens, Mr. Abbott’s belief in Utopia, where all past misdeeds are erased, doesn’t make sense.

When he’s honest with himself, Billy might eventually realize that he needs to go a long way to reprove himself to his ex-wife, if that’s even possible. Sometimes love isn’t enough and it’s the children who get hurt the most. While both sides share blame in this instance, Billy has earned the far heavier burden.
