‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Victoria Accepts Jill’s Offer, Gives Love And Business A Chance – ‘Villy’ Reunion Is Happening?

Vickie (Amelia Heinle) accepted Jill’s (Jess Walton) two-pronged offer with her brilliant blue open eyes wide open on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She agreed to join a revived Brash and Sassy so she could pursue a new professional challenge, rather than relive past glory. The current Miss Newman also understands that her ex-husband and the father of two of her children, Billy (Jason Thompson), will be a daily part of her business life. As for a personal ‘Villy’ redux, she knows that its potential can’t be ruled out.

Jill rightly believes that some people are meant to be together. Not one to have always followed true love’s path in earlier years, she’s found her later-in-life soul mate in Colin (Tristan Rogers). Thankfully, that terrific character will soon be seen again in Genoa City. ‘Jilin’ is a hoot, somewhat reminiscent of Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) and Rex (Quinn Redeker) during the glory days at ‘The Young and the Restless’.

Billy knows exactly what his mother is doing and, for his part, he hasn’t resisted her plans. That says something about the evolving movement within his subconscious mind. While Billy may believe that he found a new love in Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), time and a proper option might afford him the opportunity to reflect and realize that ‘Red’ was just a crush. His history with Vickie and the children place ‘Villy’ in its own distinct category.

It was best for Vickie to leave Newman after Victor (Eric Braeden) returned. He wasn’t going to let her have any real power and his shadow often disrupts the daily prospects of family members who work under his thumb. While Victor privately revealed that he didn’t actually want Vickie to have voluntarily resigned, he fronted encouragement. Within the same episode Victor offered a similar version of genuine parental support that Billy is receiving from Jill.

With whatever plays out at Brash and Sassy, Jill is doing what all responsible mothers (and fathers) do. They look out for their children, regardless of how their wise ideas are initially received. Jill has learned from her mistakes and become Y&R’s resident luminary. Katherine must be proud of her protege, foil, and eventual true friend.
