‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Stitch And Abby Find Their Way Back To Each Other, ‘Stabby’ Gets A Happy Ever After?

‘Stitch’ (Sean Carrigan) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) didn’t fall instantly in love with each other when they first met on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Initially, Stitch was interested in Ashley (Eileen Davidson). However, as time passed and back office changes were made, ‘Stabby’ formed. Now, after Ben’s son Max (Jared Breeze) caused Abby to miscarry, this nice power couple appears to have found their way back home to each other.

Sometimes plot points are pushed to match perceived modern times. But, Ashley was never a smooth fit with Ben. Davidson’s character needed a boyfriend at the time he first arrived in Genoa City. So, one was written in her direction on ‘The Young and the Restless’. As viewers recall, Dylan’s (Steve Burton) army buddy was interested in Ashley and was deeply involved at one time with Vickie (Amelia Heinle) as well.

Ben’s exoneration enabled Abby to see her future husband with new eyes. In 2014, it was revealed that Maureen (Meredith Baxter) had killed her husband and that her son covered for her. No longer having to play the role of a killer in order to protect his mother, Ben’s professional and personal credentials were equally restored.

Abby exhibited great personal growth when she chose to marry Ben and worked hard to accept his child, Max on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But, Max’s brain tumor caused him to seek vengeance against his step-mom, who he believed caused the death of his biological mother Jenna (Stephanie Lemelin). Breeze’s terrifically layered performance caused Y&R’s audience to firmly believe that he was demented, when actually hidden illness was the motivation behind his actions.

‘Stabby’s’ recent baby shower gift resolution provided a further opportunity for this couple to repair their relationship, which they did. With Max receiving the care that he needs and no other crisis currently looming, ‘Stitch’ and Abby appear to have genuinely reconnected. Now, like all couples, they need to maintain momentum in order to sustain success.
