‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Second Sully Shoe Drops – Chelsea Has Crucial Information

The Sully-is-Christian reveal is about to play out on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Viewers know that Sharon’s (Sharon Case) untenable lie was always in danger of being exposed. Y&R fans are also the only people who realize that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) has crucial information about the boy Sharon thinks is Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) child.

Sage (Kelly Sullivan) confronted Sharon after learning that Christian never died. She was going to expose the incredible information, but crashed her car after leaving the cottage. Sage was thrown from her vehicle and was lying on the side of the road when she asked Sharon to promise to tell Nick that his son was alive. Of course, Sharon rationalized not doing in order to keep her false family together ever since.

‘Chadam’ decided to conceal the fact that Adam (formerly played by Justin Hartley) was Christian’s biological father after Sage expired. They didn’t want to add to Nick’s burden, which was genuinely compassionate. So, nothing was said at the time. But, what will Chelsea do when she learns that an unexpected link to Adam still exists?

Chelsea has grown closer to Nick this fall. In the summer Adam thought he was destined to spend decades in prison. So, he had a heart-to-heart with his brother in the visitor’s room at Walworth State Prison. During that sit-down, Nick warmly agreed to watch over Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) if Adam would be gone indefinitely. Of course, that agreement came to fruition when Adam supposedly died in the cabin explosion. And, Nick has lived by his word.

Nick would be devastated if Chelsea tells her brother-in-law the truth. Surely, this extra layer within the storyline doesn’t have to be peeled simultaneously with the Sully reveal. Months worth of plot line could be extended if Chelsea remains conflicted. However, executive producer Mal Young may want to wrap this arc up and drop both shoes in Genoa City at the same time.
