‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Newman Family Turmoil Erupts Over Family Business – Nick And Victoria Demoted As Victor Returns

Victor (Eric Braeden) seems sincere in his efforts to make amends with family on ‘The Young and the Restless’. However, his return to the helm at Newman Enterprises is serving to reduce the roles that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) will play moving forward. The siblings anticipated this development, but how they handle the reality of its arrival will soon shape the relationship they have with their father and with each other.

It’s good Vickie wasn’t the cleanup hitter on Newman’s softball team because she took her eye off the ball while serving as acting CEO. Seemingly always put off by nearly anything Billy does, Vickie rebounded from another ‘Villy’ fallout into the arms of a new romantic interest at a local watering hole. Her brief relationship with Travis (Michael Roark) instantly became a pressing diversion.

Yes, Vickie showed up to work while Victor was incarcerated. But, allowing Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) to hang around the office in an odd, unpaid role, through Summer’s (Hunter King) urging, was totally ill-advised. Doing so also allowed that vexing character to obtain uncomfortable personal evidence that he used as leverage. Then, there were inter-office squabbles with middle-management and the oil spill problems. Vickie’s mental absence from her job led to dysfunction on ‘The Young and the Restless’.

Nick hasn’t been interested in the corporate life for many years. But, he agreed to help the company because the ‘Moustache’ was behind bars. Victor’s first-born son would seem most likely to take his tie off again if too many games are played.

At first, cursory conflicts will be tied to business differences. Then, Vickie’s and Nick’s personal relationship with their father and with each other will quickly become deeper debates. Considering that Victor found Summer to be his most loyal ally during recent months, it’s probable that he’ll reward her with a prime Newman post on ‘The Young and the Restless’. When that happens all monies and personal bets will be pushed to the edge of the Newman family’s table.
