When Michael E. Knight arrived in Genoa City, it was unclear exactly how long he would be a member of the CBS soap opera’s cast. But, fans reacted positively to his quirky character and he had some amazing chemistry with Eileen Davidson’s Ashley Abbott, so TPTB kept him around.

So far no one from CBS has confirmed the news, nor has Michael E. Knight spoken out about it. It’s unclear if Dr. Neville is leaving Genoa City, or the character is being recast. “The Young and the Restless’ spoilers tease that the medicine Neville has been giving his patients has been resulting in relapses, and Hilary’s life may soon be on the line. If Neville winds up taking the blame for his patients’ health problems, his exit may have something to do with him leaving town before he has to face the music.
