‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Kevin Suspects Chloe May Be Guilty, Will He Help Dylan Investigate His Ex?

His heart tells him no, but Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) brain says yes on ‘The Young and the Restless’. While he still holds deep feelings for Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), a continuing review of the hacked prison video that showed a mystery woman meeting with Victor doesn’t make sense. Pressure being applied by various people has kept the issue of Chloe’s involvement in Adam’s (Justin Hartley) apparent frame alive and soon Kevin will make a breakthrough in this case.

It was odd that Chloe returned to town and didn’t contact him. But, Kevin just chalked that up to his ex-wife’s eccentricities. Then, he initially believed that Bella (Cali May Kinder) was his child and asked for a DNA test to be conducted. He accepted the negative results and in so doing seemed to further convince himself that Chloe’s actions were pure.

Love often blinds people. Kevin, more than most in Genoa City, is an analytical person. However, in this instance, he’s allowed pure emotion to block even the question of Chloe’s involvement in Victor’s (Eric Braeden) conceived crime. Adam and Dylan (Steve Burton) never loved Chloe, which has enabled them to consider her motive, means and opportunity, therefore making her a prime suspect.

It will be interesting to see if Kevin’s demeanor changes when he’s in Chloe’s presence in the immediate future. Since she’s returned, he’s been unable to think straight and came to foolishly believe that he had a chance to revive ‘Khloe’. That’s why it’s good Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is on his side. She has his best interests at heart.

Dylan asked Kevin if it was possible to hack into the mental health facility where Chloe was staying in California. If Kevin pursues that lead, he may likely confirm that she wasn’t receiving treatment for as long as she claimed, but actually arrived in Wisconsin earlier than she’s let on. That information will bust open a case that Paul (Doug Davidson) thought was closed. Whether that results in Chloe’s arrest is uncertain, but Kevin’s trust will surely be broken, along with his heart when all is known.
