‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chloe Should Be Thankful – Holiday Season Secrets Hold Steady

Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) should consider herself to be incredibly lucky on ‘The Young and the Restless’. As far as the viewers know, she literally got away with murder. Whether Adam (most recently played by Justin Hartley) is actually dead, or not doesn’t actually matter at this point. Chloe is haunted by her actions at the cabin and continues to retain that secret, along with her daughter’s paternity as the holiday season moves into full force.

Incoming head writer Sally Sussman has advised that the Adam character isn’t expected to return in the near future. That likely means that he’ll stay dead in the minds of those characters who were closest to him. While Chloe and Adam were hardly buddies, their lives are now linked in some dramatic way due to the crime she committed at the cabin before it exploded.

Consider the double-life Chloe continues to lead as she pretends to be friends with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) on Y&R. Yes, she’s claiming to be Adam’s widow’s renewed bestie while staying at the penthouse where Chadam formerly resided with their son Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). How outrageous!

As the end of each year gets set to yawn it’s natural for everyone to recall where they were when the year started. Chloe was in a mental health institution earlier this year. She managed to con the doctors into believing that she’d recovered and then made a beeline for Genoa City so she could help Victor (Eric Braeden) frame Adam for murder.

But the mask Chloe put over Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) face is equally reprehensible. He openly wants to help the love of his life raise Bella (Cali May Kinder), who apparently isn’t his biological child. The audience has been shown various pieces of evidence, dating back a few years, that implies Billy (Jason Thompson) is Bella’s father. But that speculation hasn’t been scientifically confirmed.

So Chloe either killed, or tried to kill Chelsea’s husband. And Chloe has withheld the fact that Billy, or possibly Kevin, is Bella’s father. Chelsea thinks that Chloe has become her confidant again, Billy has no idea that his third daughter is living in town and Kevin is being played for a fool. Of course Y&R fans continue to wonder where Chloe should be on Christmas, in jail or in a mental health facility?
