‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Chelsea Oblivious To Chloe’s True Colors, When Will Truth Come Out?

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) has no idea that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) isn’t her friend on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She doesn’t know that her returned gal-pal is actually the worst possible enemy. As Chelsea continues to deal with the loss of Adam (Justin Hartley), the person who was at least responsible for him not making a hoped-for flight out of Genoa City continues to harbor feelings of deep resentment.

Chloe appears to think that Adam died in the cabin. It’s possible that she caused the propane tank to explode, which is believed to have caused his death. Considering her mental state, it’s also just as likely that she left him for dead and took off before the woodsy structure went kablooey. The confirmation of either scenario would instantly end this so-called friendship.

Two years away from Genoa City seems to have done nothing to improve Chloe’s mental state. In fact, she actually deteriorated. The ability to fool whatever number of therapists Chloe saw is obvious. A particularly calculating mind would be able to convince a team of trained professionals that all feelings of hostility toward the man who is thought to have accidentally killed Delia (Sophie Pollono) were vanquished. Yes, Chloe has fooled everyone, with the exception of Victor (Eric Braeden), for now.

Victor recruited Chloe to frame Adam. He then experienced her unexpected betrayal, when she initially refused to hand over Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) diary pages that would have freed his son from prison. That experience rightfully made his moustache curl and left him permanently doubtful about Chloe’s ability to tell the truth.

Viewers are preparing for the day when Chelsea somehow learns what happened to her husband. Chloe will become her target whenever that flashback reveal is realized. Of course, Adam may have returned by that time. He knows who shot him with a dart gun and either left him to die, or also tried to blow his body to smithereens. Whenever that undead man revives Chloe will face the greatest survival test of her detestable life.
