‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Chelsea And Adam Plot Against Chloe, Can They Prove His Innocence?

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is playing the most important con of her life on ‘The Young and the Restless’. If she bests her opponent and former best friend Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) she’ll gain the evidence needed to free her husband. But, one slight misstep could quickly doom Adam (Justin Hartley) and keep him in jail indefinitely.

Like his father, Adam can read people. He rightly suspected that Chloe’s return to Genoa City was connected to the odd appearance of a mystery woman that Victor (Eric Braeden) met with when he was serving time at Walworth. In order to advance the plot, ‘The Young and the Restless’ writing staff teamed Chelsea with Kevin (Greg Rikaart), which allowed Adam’s wife to view hacked prison surveillance footage showing Chloe in disguise. However, neither unlicensed detective was able to determine who the ‘Moustache’ was conspiring with.

Going off Adam’s advice to ingratiate herself with Chloe, Chelsea invited her and Bella (Cali May Kinder) to move into the penthouse. Adam used that newfound proximity by having Chelsea tell Chloe that she should visit the crux of her rage at Walworth to gain a sense of peace. Hendrickson’s subsequent performance in the pen brought the house down.

Chloe pitched her reformed angle to Adam in such a smooth way that he wasn’t able to firmly tab her as Victor’s accomplice. However, he still suspects that she was the person who helped his father frame him for the murder of Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman). Chloe won that round of their mental battle, but viewers of ‘The Young and the Restless’ know that Newman’s often destroy their opponents in wider wars.

Considering that Connor (currently played by Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) was once kidnapped by Chloe, Chelsea must remain on guard at all times. Even if she does that, Chloe obviously isn’t fully stable. So, focusing on Adam’s plan to secure his freedom will remain complex, risky, and potentially, unworkable.
