‘The Young and the Restless’ RUMOR: Devon Awaits Two Pregnancy Test Results – Hilary and Mariah Pregnant?

Devon (Bryton James) isn’t a father on ‘The Young and the Restless’ yet. However, a recent romantic encounter with Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and an upcoming visit with Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will create plenty of stress. Viewers would feast on a parallel sequence where ‘Hevon’ and ‘Deriah’ await the results baby-to-be tests.

Hilary recently pulled another workplace prank, but later made up with her husband. That set the stage for ‘Hevon’s’ first baby.

But Hillary’s amoral workplace actions caused Dylan’s (Steve Burton) words to be diced and then digitally spliced, which resulted in false impressions being presented to the GC Buzz audience. Hilary felt that Dylan’s straightforward answers to her questions about the Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) saga weren’t buzzworthy. So she ordered one of her underlings to enhance his story.

Mariah went ballistic after she learned what Mrs. Hamilton did. She actually shoved Hilary while Devon was watching inside the website’s studios. However, an unexpected outcome saw Hilary booted from her hosting roll when Devon fired her for cause. He tapped Mariah as Hilary’s replacement and she begrudgingly accepted.

It’s easy to see a scenario developing whereby the still-single Mariah would become involved with Devon. Each character is kind-hearted, which is really saying something in Mariah’s case because she originally arrived in Genoa City with an intact hard shell. Yes, similarly smooth personalities, proximity and the emotional rebound Devon would experience if (when) he and Hilary are fighting make ‘Deriah’ possible.

As viewers recall, Hilary has twice made herself available to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), be he rebuffed her overtures. The point in those instances is that Hilary’s deep love for Devon, Neil (Kristoff St. John) or both didn’t prevent a play for another man. Of course, the Neil situation will always serve as a reminder that this particular woman can spark intense feelings and subsequent reactions.

If Devon gets to the point where he’s had enough of Hilary, Mariah will become a viable option. Considering that Kevin (Greg Rikaart) is no longer in Miss Copeland’s love mix, Devon will be available and appealing. Certainly the extra incentive of retaliating against her former boss by becoming friendly with Mr. Hamilton will also be part of this passion play and possible pregnancy.
