Former ‘The Young and the Restless’ actress Victoria Rowell’s [Ex-Drucilla Winters] lawsuit against the CBS soap opera will go forward. According to TVLine a California federal judge was the one to give the go ahead for the actress’ discrimination case.
CBS was very disappointed upon learning that Rowell decided to sue them for something that they consider as having no merit. Rowell is a talented actress who played Drucilla Winters, also called Dru, for years of the CBS daytime drama.

In 2007 her character was killed off when she fell off a cliff however no body was recovered to confirm her death. Rowell exited the soap opera not because she was fired or anything of that sort, it was her own choice to leave at the time.
Since leaving she began a pursuit to sue the Bell Dramatic Serial Company and Sony saying they “retaliated against her for speaking out about a lack of diversity at the network and Sony,” as reported by TV Line. Her case was dismissed in November 2015 by another judge however she was permitted to amend and she did so. Later she disclosed that she had intentions to audition for a ‘Days of Our Lives’ role, but they wouldn’t allow her to because of her statements against lack of diversity in soaps. ‘DAYS’ is also distributed through Sony Company.

Will Rowell be successful this time around in her pursuit to sue the company for the discrimination act? We will have to wait and see when Rowell Vs ‘The Young and the Restless’ proceed to the court room. So fans what do you think should Rowell drop her lawsuit against the daytime drama?
