‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Lachlan Buchanan Back On Set – Teases Final ‘Y&R’ Scenes As Kyle Abbott

‘The Young And The Restless’ spoilers tease there is some great news for those Kyle Abbott fans, and some bad news as well. The actor who plays the role tweeted of his return to ‘The Young And The Restless,’ but not only that, he also shared that he is taping his final scenes. Lachlan Buchanan, aka Kyle, was shockingly dropped to a recurring status last year after a short time appearing as a  recast.

The original tweet he posted indicating his exit from the series was deleted.  Per Soap Opera Digest Buchanan revealed that it was his “last day in Genoa City,” but then he removed the tweet.  Lachlan took to Twitter and Instagram today depicting his excitement of being back at the CBS studios with a photograph of him and his co-star; he shared “Ponies. Ponies for everyone. @hunterhaleyking #YR #spiritanimal @ Young and Restless CBS Studio.”

Although this is probably just for a few episodes, we can’t help but emphasize how intrigued we are to see his return. Hunter King (Summer), his on screen lover is also very enthused about the actor’s return and she also shared the news via Twitter. “Workin with this adorable little nugget today @lachlanbuchanan #YR”, King tweeted. What does his return to the show mean? Lately Summer seems to have a romantic interest in Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva). What will Kyle think of the two when he reappears in Genoa City?

There is a potential brewing romance between Summer and Luca and they have been spending a lot of time together. This could pose major trouble for the relationship between her and Kyle. Another thing to consider upon his return is his involvement in his family business Jabot. Summer is adamant about standing by her grandfather’s side amidst all the things he has done. Will he and Summer be on opposite sides when he hears of what her grandfather Victor (Eric Braeden) did to his father Jack (Peter Bergman) and step-mother Phyllis (Gina Tognoni)?
