‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we’re going to be seeing a lot less of Neil Winters [Kristoff St John] very soon. The actor tweeted to a fan that his appearances are about to be cut back and he’ll have little screen time in coming months.
What does this mean for the plot of Neil and Jack Abbott’s [Peter Bergman] new sobriety charity? Y&R spoilers indicate that Ashley Newman [Eileen Davidson] will agree to take a seat on the board of the new philanthropic organization.
Y&R spoilers also indicate that Hilary Curtis [Mishael Morgan] will make a spectacle at the upcoming fundraiser for the charity and donates $1 million – no doubt not her money, but Devon Hamilton’s [Bryton James] cash, and then press Ashley to match the donation.

But could it be that this storyline of the sobriety support organization is about to be sidelined in favor of other rising plots? There’s Victor Newman’s [Eric Braeden] trial, Sage Newman’s [Kelly Sullivan] adoption woes, plus the baby Sully is really baby Christian reveal.
It looks like that’s the case – just too many stories for the allotted time. When a fan tweeted Kristoff that she was happy to see Neil on the show, he tweeted back “Don’t get too used to it my dear. I will only have 2 3 or 4 episodes in the next 2 months. #Yikes #OtherStories”
Looks like Kristoff St John isn’t too happy with his diminished role otherwise he might not have mentioned it at all. But let’s be honest, after watching Neil sit endlessly at Hilary’s comatose bedside, his storyline got a bit tedious – but that is NOT the actor’s fault at all.

Perhaps once all the Victor drama concludes and the babies are sorted out, showrunners can find a good plot that uses Neil smartly. If Victor continues to reject Nikki Newman [Melody Thomas Scott] as a traitor, she may be single and Nikki and Neil do have chemistry, so…

No I am not sad to see less of him for awhile and a few others, Nicki,Phiils,Summer,etc
The writers really ruined his character over the last 1-2 years. It got to be embarrassing. The whole love triangle with his son’s lover/wife, was terrible. Hillary played ping-pong with father and son and it was disgusting. It made me not even care about all 3 of their characters at this point. I don’t even care whose playing whom! As for KSJ, I was hoping he’d take the time off that he said he’d eventually need for the wrongful death trial of his son. In the meantime, the TERRIBLE writers at Y&R could have used Neil’s character for so much more but they are extremely off the mark with the storylines these days!! They need to get new writers and fire that producer too. All of the good people are leaving, and the ones staying (Summer, Luca……) stink!! Show more of Kevin and Mariah. Expand their roles more. Stop the love-triangles. Stop incest (practically) on these shows. It’s FAR from normal. Use your brains and come up with something decent. Look at “Downton Abbey” and the intelligence, wit and production of such a show. That should give you reason to want a decent show vs. a sheer embarrassment!! (BTW, I’ve been a viewer since its inception, so I’m fully aware of the characters and storylines.)
While Neil is off screen taking a much needed vacation. When he returns he will have a mystery woman with him. They wrote out Drucella, but a body was never found. She had to have extensive plastic surgery. Neil found the love of his life again. Durcella.
