‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Kelly Sullivan Filming New Movie ‘The Stranger Inside’ After ‘Y&R’ Exit

While we are saddened by the news that Kelly Sullivan has exited ‘The Young and the Restless’ as Sage Newman, we are pleased to announce her role in the upcoming film ‘The Stranger Inside’.

Her film co-star and longtime friend David A. Gregory was the first to share the news via Instagram. He took to social media posting a video of him announcing the news, while he captioned the post “Just #wrapped my #firstday on #TheStrangerInside with my buddy @realkellysullivan – what a blast! There’s nothing better than #laughing “at work” #whistlewhileyouwork #film #filmshoot #actors #onelifetolive #youngandtherestless #generalhospital good thing I’m not operating the camera cuz look”.

This is fantastic news for those who were upset by the actress’ Y&R exit. According to Gregory, filming just began so the release of the movie won’t be until fall possibly. He later revealed when asked by a fan that the movie will be released on television. There are no details as to what role the former daytime stars will play but it certainly sounds intriguing.  Gregory is a former ‘One Life to Live’ star. He played the role of Robert Ford from 2009 – 2012.

It was a shocker to see what has been rumored for weeks to finally take place on ‘Y&R.’ A few weeks back Peter Bergman (Jack) and Eric Braeden (Victor) disclosed a couple spoilers that would be happening in Genoa City… including a death. No one confirmed who it would be, but rumors circulated it would be Sage.  Sadly, the rumors proved true for Sullivan, who joined the CBS soap opera in late 2014 and officially exited this week. She is also well known for playing Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri from 2011-2013.
