‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Justin Hartley And Chrishell Stause Do “22 Pushup Challenge” – Watch Their Awesome Videos!

“The Young and the Restless” stars Justin Hartley (Adam Newman) and Chrishell Stause (Bethany) have joined together to raise awareness of military veteran suicide prevention.

Each very handily completed 22 pushups, then posted the video as part of #22KILL’s, “22 Pushup Challenge.” #22KILL was organized in 2013 as a platform to raise awareness of veteran suicide. The name refers to a VA document that states “an average of 22 veterans are killed by suicide every day.”

Hartley urged his fiancee to complete the challenge after he himself was dared by a co-star on his new nighttime series, “This is Us.”

Hartley is in great shape (he did the challenge in a tank top!) and actually clapped between every push up. What a ham!

Stause showed she’s got game by posting her own video as part of the online campaign.

She then challenged two of her former castmates on “Days of Our Lives,” to do the same. Kate Mansi (ex Abigail Deveraux DiMera) and Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) were the lucky recipients of her shout out.

According to the sponsoring website, 22kill.com, the goal is to reach “22 million pushups – To honor those who serve and to raise awareness for veteran suicide prevention.”

If you’re interested in supporting the cause, but not sure you can reach 22 pushups, don’t worry! The website encourages everyone to give it a try.  “Every pushup counts … you can do as many or few pushups as you can … we will accept them however they come.”
