‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Alum Victoria Rowell Lands New Soap Role

‘The Young and the Restless’ alum Victoria Rowell, who is well known for her role on ‘Y&R’ as Drucilla Winters, just landed an exciting new job on a popular soap opera.  Rowell has been in the news quite a bit this past year because of her ongoing legal battle with CBS over what she calls a lack of diversity on the daytime drama.  The former daytime diva has been very vocal on social media about her crusade.

According to an all new report from Daytime Confidential, Victoria Rowell has joined the cast of the online soap ‘The Bay.’  ‘The Bay’ has grown by leaps and bounds, and it is now being featured on Amazon Prime.  A new season of ‘The Bay’ is set to premiere on Amazon in April 2017, and will be featuring Rowell’s new character, Iris Hopkins, the judge that will be deciding Sara Garrett’s fate in the court room.

Rowell dished to Daytime Confidential, “I’m thrilled to be joining the cast and heading back to the soap-a-licious world of soap opera by way of Emmy-winning digital drama series The Bay.”
