‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Is Zende and Nicole’s Relationship Strong Enough To Survive Another Surrogacy?

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Rick (Jacob Young) and Maya Avant Forrester (Karla Mosley) have been blessed with a family member, Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards) who was willing to be a surrogate so they could have their dream child.  The arrival of Lizzy Forrester completed the family circle and made dreams come true for transgender Maya, who was desperate to have a child of her own.

Recently, Rick and Maya have approached Nicole for her to do it again to give Lizzy a little brother or sister.  Nicole lost the love of her life Zende Forrester (Rome Flynn) to her sister, Sasha (Felisha Cooper), the first time she did the surrogacy; but as she gave birth, Zende realized what a gift Nicole was giving her sister and how unselfish she really was being, and reunited with Nicole.

Zende shares his feelings with Nicole, and has made it clear that he does not feel she needs to do this again for them, that doing it once is more than enough, and if Rick and Maya truly want another child, they could adopt, or go to another woman for surrogacy.  Initially Nicole agrees and is determined to tell her sister and brother-in-law that she will not be doing it again; but Rick spends some time with Nicole and Lizzy and it seems their pleas may be getting to her.

Zende vents to Sasha about what Rick and Maya are trying to do, and Sasha completely agrees with him.  Will Sasha stand up to her oldest sister, Maya; and remind Nicole what she almost lost forever the first time, and will lose for sure if she goes through with this.  Which sister will Nicole listen to?

If Nicole chooses to help and be their surrogate again, it looks like Zende will walk away for good, unwilling to put his life on hold for at least another 10 months.  Nicole will be pulled in several directions, when everyone learns what Rick and Maya have asked of her.  Any way this surrogacy story goes, someone is going to end up with broken dreams, and it will all fall on Nicole’s shoulders.

Ultimately, this decision will seal her fate with the love of her life and her relationship with her sister.  Nicole needs to decide if her future is worth putting on hold.  With Sasha fresh from ending her relationship with Thomas, in order to give Douglas the chance of having a united family, she is now available to comfort a broken-hearted Zende.  It looks like history is repeating itself and Zende won’t be as understanding this time.
