Obviously, we have to give a nod to the fantastic work Rena Sofer is doing right now. Whether you love this storyline or hate it with a passion, there’s no denying that Sofer is giving it everything she’s got. We’re seeing sides of Quinn that we never knew she had.
It’s been amusing to watch Quinn try to sort out her feelings. Sofer somehow knows how to make a soap villainess likable. You almost want to root for Quinn in spite of her terrible actions. Sofer is undoubtedly responsible for that.
Sean Kanan was awesome as Quinn’s reluctant partner in crime. Kanan showed that Deacon was truly torn about what Quinn was roping him into. Deacon hated the idea of murder, but he couldn’t resist giving Quinn the help she needed. Kanan provided those flashes of anger and love.
It’s a shame that Quinn betrayed Deacon and pushed him into the water below. However, that’s just the way Quinn operates. Deacon was a little too loyal and Kanan conveyed that perfectly.
Some “Bold and the Beautiful” viewers may not agree with this, but this writer certainly thinks “Adam” is a barrel of fun. Liam could sometimes be harsh and judgmental, but “Adam” is sweet and naïve. Scott Clifton has been delightful in his portrayal of a kind man with a trusting nature.
“Adam” is almost childlike and it’s a nice departure from the norm. Similarly, it’s neat to see Clifton shining in this whimsical state. Liam will probably be back to normal before long, but his personality shift has been something different for B&B fans to enjoy.
It’s been a while since we saw Ivy, so her presence was a welcome change of pace. Ashleigh Brewer was able to capture the look and feel of someone who’s had a much-needed break from the drama. When Ivy left, she’d been through three Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood)-related accidents. She was struggling with her feelings for Liam as well. Ivy seemed depressed, fearful and ready to get away from it all.
Once Ivy returned, we could tell she’d lightened up a bit. Brewer still played Ivy with some sass, but it was just the right amount. For the most part, Ivy was downright bubbly. That’s exactly how Ivy should be after relaxing in Australia. Kudos to Brewer for her Aussie chill factor!
