‘Nashville’ Spoilers Season 5: Murray Bartlett Joins Cast – New Love Interest For Will – Possible Love Triangle With Kevin

‘Nashville’ spoilers for season 5 include another casting announcement. ‘Guiding Light’ and ‘All My Children’ alum Murray Bartlett has signed on to play the part of Jakob Fine. The new addition to ‘Nashville’ season 5 is described as a “handsome and successful designer of men’s fashion” according to a recent report from iTech Post.

There is speculation that Jakob will be a new love interest for country crooner Will Lexington [Chris Carmack]. During ‘Nashville’ season 4 openly gay singer/songwriter Kevin Bicks [Kyle Dean Massey] showed up on the scene causing complications in Will’s life as the singer has not yet publicly revealed he is gay for fear it will ruin his career.

‘Nashville’ spoilers for season 5 tease that even though a meeting or two will occur between Will and Jakob there may not be a romantic relationship. There is no word yet on whether or not Massey has been asked to join ‘Nashville’ when the drama makes its move to CMT in January 2017. If Jakob and Will are linked romantically ‘Nashville’ spoilers for season 5 tease there could be a love triangle.

Another recent addition to the cast is transgender Jen Richards who will portray a tough but understanding physical therapist. Previous ‘Nashville’ spoilers for season 5 have indicated that Richards’ character will help Juliette Barnes [Hayden Panettiere] recover from a traumatic plane crash.

Many of the actors have stated that with the move to CMT ‘Nashville’ feels like an entirely new show – and it will focus more on the difficulties singers and songwriters face in the music industry during season five.

CMT welcomes ‘Nashville’ season 5 with a two-hour premiere event January 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
