Nashville Season 5 Spoilers: Is Juliette Barnes Returning, Or Hayden Panettiere Out?

Nashville spoilers recently confirmed that the canceled ABC drama is renewed for Season 5, and will be returning on CMT, and Hulu.  Of course, Nashville fans that campaigned to sing the country music drama are thrilled about the news.  But, will all of the cast members be returning to the drama when it appears on CMT?  Or is Hayden Panettiere out?

Hayden Panettiere has played country music diva Juliette Barnes since the series began on ABC, and the actress put her singing skills to good use and even released a few songs in collaboration with the show.  Over the past few seasons we have watched Juliette Barnes struggle on the show, but her portrayer Hayden Panettiere has had some personal struggles of her own.  The same day that ABC announced they had canceled Nashville, Hayden checked herself back in to a program (again) due to her postpartum depression, which has been an ongoing issue since the birth of her first child.

The Nashville Season 4 finale ended with an excruciating cliffhanger, and Hayden’s character Juliette’s life was hanging in the balance.  It could go either way when Season 5 premieres on CMT, the writers definitely left Juliette Barnes’ fate open-ended.  With Panettiere’s own personal struggles, it is unclear if she will be heading to CMT with the rest of the Nashville cast.  Nashville fans weren’t oblivious to the fact that when the exciting news was released about Season 5, no reports from the show confirmed which members of the cast would be rejoining the drama on its new network.
