‘General Hospital’ Weekly Spoilers January 18-22: Johnny Caught, Lulu In Trouble – Sonny Gets Good News – Curtis Wants Money From Hayden

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers for the week of Monday, January 18 through Friday, January 22 shows reveal that Shari Belafonte premieres as recast Mayor Lomax, Valerie faces peril, Lulu’s in the hot seat and Johnny gets nabbed.

Valerie Spencer [Brytni Sarpi] faces what seems like certain death when the cabin she’s tied up in lights up like a torch. Val is tied to a chair and gagged so she can’t shout when Lulu Spencer [Emme Rylan] shows up to bring Johnny Zacchara [Brandon Barash] his cash and duffel bag.

Looks like Valerie will be rescued, Johnny will be nabbed and Lulu will have to account for what she’s been doing with Johnny and what she asked him to do to Valerie. Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] isn’t happy to find Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] in Jason Morgan’s [Billy Miller] hotel room.

Liz tells Sam about the scary stuff at the house. Meanwhile, Jason has a talk with Jake Spencer [James Nigbor] about his dislike of Sam. What does Jake have to tell his dad about his wife? Later, Kristina Corinthos [Lexi Ainsworth] makes a confession to Sam about her school problems.

Valerie will figure out that Lulu sent Johnny after her – what then? Robert Scorpio [Tristan Rogers] and Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] work the Carlos Rivera [Jeffrey Vincent Parise] case. Robert knows someone in town that may be able to help them.

The new Mayor Lomax [Shari Belafonte] comes onto the scene and for some reason, Olivia Falconeri [Lisa LoCicero] gets into a showdown with the mayor. What’s that about? Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] isn’t happy to see Anna and Robert colluding.

Liz finally gets little Jake a therapy appointment and the recommendation the doc makes is surprising – art therapy with Franco [Roger Howarth]! Jason recovers a big memory by mid-week and Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] has some great ideas for Crimson.

Sam offers to help Jason figure out what’s going on at Liz’s house, but Sam thinks Liz may be the culprit. Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] gets some good news – he thinks he may have another shot at getting baby Avery back.

Hayden Barnes [Rebecca Budig] is torn between her affection for Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] and her need to avoid Tracy Quartermaine’s [Jane Elliot] blackmail. Nikolas ramps up the romance while Curtis [Donnell Turner] demands money from Hayden and breaks some news.

Jordan wants Curtis out of town – he refuses. Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] goes to see Ava Jerome [Maura West] about Avery. Jason recovers a big memory that’s significant. Lulu turns to her mom Laura Spencer [Genie Francis] for advice – her marriage may be broken for good.
