‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Professor Parker Headed Back To Port Charles – Romance With Kristina In The Works?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that the brief interaction between Kristina Corinthos [Lexi Ainsworth] and Professor Parker [Ashley Jones] is not all there is to this new storyline that sets up Kristina to be Port Charles’ lone lesbian (at least for now).

GH has explored gay storylines and HIV/AIDS storylines and there was the Faith Rosco thing for a while, but there are no recurring lesbian characters in Port Charles. This is a definite shift in storylines and it’s made more interesting by the significant age differences in this female couple.

Ashley Jones is 39 while Lexi Ainsworth is 23. So not only is there a potential for a dynamic new lesbian couple in Port Charles, but a May-December pairing as well. We saw Parker briefly and we know that she’s married and Kristina thought that Parker was leading her on.

Then when Molly Lansing [Haley Pullos] pried into Kristina’s journals (unaware that Parker is a woman), she read that they saw each other outside of class. Parker stopped by to threaten Kristina but GH spoilers indicate the sexy prof will be back in six to eight weeks to pick up the storyline after sweeps.

GH February sweeps should include the reveal that Kristina has been banned from school for the semester as Alexis Davis [Nancy Lee Grahn] and Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] join forces to shake the truth out of their wayward daughter, but the Parker stuff is likely to stay hidden for a bit longer.

Prof Parker is married and doesn’t want to ruin things with her wife, but she’s already made the trip to Port Charles once to see Kristina and we know she’ll be back soon. Is that because Parker’s got more beef with Kristina? Or because she can’t get the cute co-ed out of her mind?  Will Parker’s dalliance with Kristina mean an end to her marriage and Parker migrating to Port Charles to be with her young love? As of now, Ashley Jones is not on contract with GH.

If Parker does decide to relocate and make a go of a relationship with young Kristina, we may have to rename the town from Port Chuck to Port Chick as their love heats up. You have to give the new writers credit for bringing in a fresh angle on love. Let’s hope this plays out in the future.
