‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Griffin Searches For Answers To Tracy’s Mystery Illness – Was She Poisoned?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that Tracy Quartermaine [Jane Elliot] will soon go to see Dr Griffin Munro [Matt Cohen] at the insistence of Dillon Quartermaine [Robert P Watkins]. But it looks like even brilliant neurosurgeon Griffin will be stumped by what’s ailing her.

We’ll soon see Tracy develop worsening and more alarming symptoms that scare her son. Initially, Tracy will not want to go to GH for evaluation. Tracy knows something is going on and fears the doctor will give her terrible news that diagnoses impending death.

But Dillon finally convinces Tracy to go to the hospital and it’s Griffin who will evaluate her since she’s experiencing neurological symptoms and he’s a neurologist. Griffin will run tests to see what’s wrong with her, but it looks like Griffin will not be able to figure out what it is at first.

Some GH fans suspect that Tracy may have been poisoned – possibly by her ex no-good hubby Larry Ashton [Hugo Napier]. He worked with a poison called carbon disulfide. This toxic chemical has a sweet taste, so he could have easily slipped it into one of Tracy’s fruity boozy drinks.

After all, why was Ashford brought in for such a small appearance – to hang with Tracy on vacay – unless there was a storyline motivation? Hayden Barnes [Rebecca Budig] seems like a likely culprit but Hayden has been urging Tracy to see a doc, so that doesn’t make sense.

Poison seems like it could be hard to diagnose if Griffin is looking at natural medical causes versus something that someone has done to his patient. Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] does have a grudge against Tracy for the ELQ lawsuit – could he have done something to her?

We know that Nikolas doesn’t hesitate to use lethal force where he deems it necessary – perhaps Nik hired Ashton to do something to Tracy to stop her from trying to take ELQ from him. That seems like something he would do.

Or could Tracy be suffering some disease that’s causing her symptoms? Tracy could have a brain tumor, brain bleed, or some other medical explanation. But then again, something like that should have been easily discoverable by Dr Munro.
