‘General Hospital’ POLL: 5 Most Disturbing GH Mother-Daughter Love Triangles – Vote For Worst!

‘General Hospital’ (GH) doesn’t shy away from exploring controversial love, but one recurring theme seems to be mother lovers – men who get with both moms and their daughters – and always under dodgy circumstances. Is this just the thing to do in Port Charles?

Here’s a look at these awkward multi-generational affairs that have disturbed GH fans for years.

#1 Carly and Bobbie and Tony

If you remember, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) came to Port Charles way back in the day looking for revenge against her mother for giving her up for adoption. Carly slept with Tony Jones (Brad Maule), Bobbie’s hubby, to punish her mother. Then Carly tried to convince Tony that her pregnancy with Michael – which was actually the result of a one-nighter with AJ – was his child.

This was a major mess but now Carly and her mom Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) seem to happily ignore the fact that mom found daughter in bed with her husband on their wedding anniversary.

#2 Alexis and Sam and Sonny

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) also has a messy mom and daughter history with not one, but two, of her baby daddies, so she made the list twice. At least their loving didn’t overlap like it did with Carly, Bobbie and Tony. Both Alexis and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) were impregnated by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but Sam lost their child.

Also of tangential interest is that Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) was married to Alexis, although they were friends not lovers – and Jax later got involved with Sam. What is that about?

#3 Alexis and Sam and Ric

As if it wasn’t enough that both Alexis and Sam had sheet time with Sonny, the thing with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) was even more disgusting. After all, it was Ric that figured out Alexis and Sam were mother and daughter. What’s more, he was married to Alexis when he and Sam decided to get busy when they both had trouble in their relationships with Alexis and Jason Morgan (Billy Miller).

As if Ric and Sam doing the horizontal boogie wasn’t bad enough, Jason and Alexis walked in and caught them in bed. Ick. What is it with Sam and her mother loving choice of bedmates?

#4 Ava and Kiki and Morgan

Much ado has been made of Ava Jerome (Maura West) shagging Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) while he was involved with her daughter Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin). Carly sure is judgy about this when she was doing worse to her mom Bobbie. Ava, at least, legitimately fell for Morgan while Carly was targeting her mom’s hubby as punishment. But then again, Ava did go back for seconds.

What made it worse was that Ava couldn’t stay out of Morgan’s bed even when she came back from the dead as Denise DeMuccio. Let’s face it – Morgan is a major mother-lover.

#5 Laura and Lulu and Stavros

This is one mother loving triangle that most people don’t think about because neither woman was willingly involved with Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly). After all, Stavros kidnapped and raped Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) resulting in their son Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher). A decade later, Stavros stole his son’s half-sister Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and tried it again.

Stavros forced Lulu to marry him but couldn’t get her to sleep with him, so he stole her eggs, froze Lulu, then made a baby in a test tube. Stavros is easily the ickiest of the mother lovers.
