Indeed what a run it has been, Christopher spent years wowing viewers with his outstanding day to day performance as Prince Nikolas. He has even taken home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a drama series this year. After years of being nominated in different categories such as Outstanding Younger Actor in 1998 and Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2005 and 2006, Christopher finally won an Emmy this year.
The news is official, Christopher will not be returning to ‘General Hospital’. He left the ABC daytime drama series in June then was temporarily replaced by former daytime star Nick Stabile. Stabile did an excellent job, he created waves across daytime with the chemistry he had with onscreen partner Maura West [Ava Jerome].

The show and Christopher spent an extended period trying to cut a new contract deal but however was unsuccessful. Due to this challenge Christopher will not be returning to a place he called home for many years. And in the interim of not being able to reach a contract deal with the actor, a spokesperson for the show confirmed that they do not have any plans to recast the role any time soon.
