‘General Hospital’ News: Teresa Castillo Discusses Sabrina Santiago’s Death – Opens Up about ‘GH’ Exit

It’s a very sad week for ‘General Hospital’ viewers as the cast keeps getting smaller. It was just announced that Tyler Christopher will not return to GH as Prince Nikolas and next we learned that Bryan Craig opted to leave his role as Morgan Corinthos on the ABC sudser. Now, Teresa Castillo has broken the silence on her exit as Sabrina Santiago.

It started out as just a rumor that Teresa Castillo was leaving when it was revealed that the GH killer would kill another character. But as the week progressed it was becoming more evident that Sabrina would be the killer’s next victim for obvious reasons. It’s a bittersweet moment; indeed the show has gotten rather interesting but at the hands of losing a core character.
Sabrina met her demise upon stumbling upon the truth that Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] had something to do with Monica’s [Leslie Charleson] incident, she also learnt that he was the hospital killer. No doubt Paul would have to eliminate her to keep the truth from being revealed. While her murder may have shocked several viewers, Castillo knew about it for a while.

Castillo spoke with Soap Opera Digest and shares that she was told about it a good while back. “Frank called me into his office about two and a half months ago. It was the end of the day and he said, ‘They’ve decided to kill Sabrina’. It was definitely bittersweet,” Castillo shares with SOD on her character’s demise. She further added that maybe this was the perfect time for her to leave “I think four years is just the right amount of time,” says the actress.
Castillo debut in the role in 2012 but has now made an official exit from the ABC sudser. So are you sad that the show decided to kill off Sabrina? Do you want her back?

so in other words, she’s promised a job after she has baby number two…and the minute she is back she gets fired…nope…sorry not buying it at all….they’re punishing her because she dared to get pregs again…..that’s all i have to say about it….
Lol so they kill Sabrina, but bring back the actor that played Carlos as an uncle look-a-like for the umpteenth time? Whatever.
Although I did like Sabrina, especially in the beginning of her time on GH her role has become somewhat boring so I probably won’t miss her tbh.
