‘General Hospital’ News: Sean Blakemore Joins Cast Of ‘Devious Maids’ On Lifetime

Shawn Butler may be locked down by the prison bars on ‘General Hospital’, but his portrayer is showing up elsewhere. Blakemore has been added to the cast of ‘Devious Maids’. This is absolutely great news for those who have been missing the actor on the ABC soap.

Rebecca Wisocky (Evelyn Powell) has posted a photo on Twitter captioned “Welcome to #DeviousMaids S4 sweet @SBlakemoreActor Start preparing your crush now #DeviousArmy.”  After this Blakemore replied to the tweet confirming his addition to the primetime series. His tweet read “@rebeccawisocky incredibly talented/sweet & welcoming! #DEVIOUSMAIDS #SUPERGREATCREW #FUNDAY”

Blakemore is currently pre-nominated for the upcoming Daytime Emmy’s. He is awaiting the final list of nominees to see if he made the cut in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category. Blakemore wrapped up his run as Shawn Butler on ‘General Hospital’ last year. Shawn was placed into prison after his attempt to eliminate Jake Doe. Since then he has appeared on CSI: Cyber as Director Silver. He will also make appearances in the movie Cursed Angel and Bosch TV Series.

The fourth season of Devious Maids is said to be in production and will most likely premiere later this year. Blakemore will join former soap stars; Eva Longoria, Ryan McPartlin, Susan Lucci, Nathan Owens and Brianna Brown. No further details were released regarding if he is a series regular or on recurring.
