‘General Hospital’ News: Molly Burnett’s Thanks GH Fans For Letting Her Visit

The temporary switch of Molly Burnett in the role of Maxie Jones finally took place on screen today for ‘General Hospital’ fans. Burnett, was asked to step in for the period while Kirsten Storms took a break.  Burnett felt honored to have taken over for Kirsten Storms even though it was for a very short period. “Thank u Port Charles for letting me visit Kirsten is so talented, & created such a fun character, it was an honor to step in for a few,” Burnett tweeted.

So far the fans were very delighted to see such a talented actress step in for their fan favorite. Several fans replied to her tweet indicating how much they were appreciative of her. But Burnett is only around for a short period that could span to approximately a month. However short the period we know she will bring her A game to this role, in the absence of Kirsten Storms.

Previously, we reported that Kirsten Storms decided to take a temporary break from her ‘General Hospital’ role. Storms reportedly took the time to heal from some skin issues but she was back at work last week.

Burnett has been missed since her last daytime appearance on “Days Of Our Lives.” After playing the role of Melanie Jonas on and off from 2008, she exited the NBC soap opera in 2016.  Soap Opera Spy wishes to say job well done Molly, we wish you all the best with the future of your career. ‘General Hospital’ fans can look for Storms to return as Maxie in a month or so.
