‘General Hospital’ News: May Comings And Goings – Nicolas Bechtel, Robin Mattson, Jacklyn Zeman, Ian Buchanan And More Return!

In ‘General Hospital’ news, fans have discovered that May sweeps will bring a few of their favorites returning to ‘GH.’ They may be back in town for only a short time but they will all make an impact on the lives of Port Charles residents.

Those reprising their roles include Robin Mattson [Heather Webber], Lynn Herring [Lucy Coe], Jacklyn Zeman [Bobbie Spencer], Nicolas Bechtal [Spencer Cassadine] and Ian Buchanan [Duke Lavery].

‘GH’ viewers will begin seeing those returning, beginning with Duke Lavery, on Wednesday, May 11. Ian hasn’t signed on as a contract actor and at this time it isn’t known if he’s signed a recurring role contract either. All that is known is Duke will show up for at least two episodes, the second being later in May.

There is a lot of mystery around Duke’s return to Port Charles but speculation is that it will have something to do with Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] and her grief and guilt over his death.

Also appearing in Port Charles on Wednesday, May 11 will be Heather Webber. When last viewers saw Heather she was in the psychiatric ward at Ferncliff, enjoying BLT sandwiches from Kelly’s, chatting up Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] and then threatening to inject her with LSD. She missed the mark with Nina and injected her son Franco [Roger Howarth] instead.

Heather’s return is also shrouded in mystery but speculation is that it will have to do with ex-husband Scotty Baldwin [Kin Shriner] and her son Franco. It’s possible Heather will have contact with Nina as well.

Lucy hasn’t been in town since the Nurses Ball 2015 but reportedly the organizer won’t be around just for the Nurses Ball 2016. Expect to see Lucy for the first time on Tuesday, May 17. It has not yet been confirmed but Lucy will be around more often and ‘General Hospital’ viewers could see Lucy through the end of 2016.

When last we saw Lucy she was handing over shares of ELQ to Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher]. That plot point was to simply move a storyline along. This time around Lucy will play a more important role in the lives of Port Charles’ residents. Stay tuned to find out what happens!

Speaking of the Nurses Ball 2016, Jacklyn Zeman confirmed via Twitter in mid-April she was taping scenes for the annual event. “Shooting for the Nurses Ball – wahoo! I’m dancing as fast as I can!” Jackie tweeted to ‘GH’ viewers.

Nicolas Bechtel wasn’t able to return for the Nurses Ball. The young actor had a few scheduling conflicts with his Disney Channel sitcom ‘Stuck in the Middle.’ However, fans can expect to see Spencer in the Wednesday, June 1 and Thursday, June 2 episodes. Also using Twitter, Nicolas announced that he had taped some scenes in early May.

Set your DVRs ‘General Hospital’ fans! May sweeps are in full swing and you don’t want to miss Duke, Lucy, Heather or Spencer’s returns to Port Charles.
