‘General Hospital’ News: Maurice Benard Teases ‘GH’ Storylines ‘Heating Up Big Time’

Maurice Benard who portrays daytime’s top mobster Sonny Corinthos took to both Twitter and Facebook to share that ‘General Hospital’ is heating up. So just what excitement is the actor referring to?

In his social media post he disclosed that he would love to share what he is talking about – but he can’t. Could Benard be referring to his character, or the general show?  Sonny is involved in so many stories right now. First of all his son Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) has recently thrown away his medication for his bipolar disease. We know that without the medication he can do something he would not normally do had he been taken it. What will Morgan do now that he is off his medication, will he get involved in his father’s illegal mob activities?

Sonny has been keeping a secret from his family and friends that his health is progressing now. He is able to stand without the assistance of anyone or anything, so we know he will be walking again soon. This could spell major trouble for his enemies. Sonny has also quietly been investigating Ava’s (Maura Activities) mob related activities. In his investigation will he discover that Paul (Richard Burgi) was the one to shoot him, or that Ava has been working with Paul? Remember Ava currently has custody of Avery, so when Sonny learns the truth about her mob dealings will be take her back to court and finally win the custody battle?

Sonny has been feeling powerless sitting in his wheelchair, so now that he is making progress he is slowly regaining his power.
