‘General Hospital’ News: Is Tyler Christopher Headed Back To ‘GH?’

ABC’s hit daytime soap opera, General Hospital has seen its fair share of jaw dropping casting news. However, two months ago, fans were shocked over two hot button casting changes. Yes, they were/are only temporary casting changes, but that still did not help the shock.

The temp casting changes came for the characters of Nikolas Cassadine, and Maxie Jones. Molly Burnett (Ex – Melanie ‘DAYS’) took over the role of Maxie Jones, and Nick Stabile (Ex – Mark ‘BEACH’) took over the role of Nikolas Cassadine.

Kirsten Storms had to take a break from playing Maxie Jones for skin issues. Tyler Christopher took a break for personal issues. These temp casting choices came as a shock, due to big stories revolving around both characters.

The character of Maxie found out that the love of her life was once married to a woman he still might love (Claudette; Bree Williamson). The character of Nikolas has been caught up in a huge story about faking his death, and of course a HOT relationship with mobster Ava Jerome.

Several fans were in tears over the two being temporarily recasted. Many had thoughts about them just being temporarily written out. I, myself, thought that would have been have been a better choice, for the two leading characters.

Then, one day, some news came from lead GH actress Kirsten Storms. Kirsten returned to the set of the hit soap, as quirky fashionista Maxie. However, Tyler Christopher held back on returning as drop dead gorgeous Nikolas. However, that might all change.

Emmy award winning actor Tyler Christopher recently met up with his on screen son Nicolas Bechtel (Spencer). The two were caught posing back to back, in front of a brick wall. Bechtel shared the photo on his official Facebook page, and later tweeted out the photo, on his official Twitter account. Bechtel captioned the photo “Hello Father”.

This started much fan speculation, throughout the soap opera community. Even though a General Hospital spokesperson has yet to comment on the photo, fans are speculating that Tyler is back on set, filming at the ABC sudser.
