‘General Hospital’ News: Hudson West Replaces James Nigbor As GH’s Jake Spencer

‘General Hospital’ news tease that the ABC soap has cast Hudson West to play the part of little Jake Spencer, the son of Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Jason Morgan (Billy Miller). According to ‘GH’ spoilers from Soap Opera Digest, Hudson will make his first appearance in Port Charles on the episode airing on Monday April 25.

The Character of Jake Spencer was killed off years ago, however it was recently revealed that the little boy was still very much alive and had been held captive by Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). When little Jake was returned to his parents James Nigbor played the part of the obviously troubled little boy. And, ‘GH’ fans seemed to be enjoying the actor. However, James’ mother unexpectedly announced on Twitter last month that Nigbor had been dropped from the ABC soap’s cast – it is unclear for what reasons.

Nigbor’s replacement Hudson West is not a newbie to television. He recently appeared in the FX drama “AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE PEOPLE V. OJ SIMPSON.” His acting credits also include ‘Modern Family,’ Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, and ‘Grace and Frankie.’

The last time we saw Jake Spencer he was recuperating from the last accident he was in, and he seemed to be recovering mentally as well. It will definitely be interesting to see what the ‘General Hospital’ writers have in store for this character next.
