‘General Hospital’ News: Ashley Jones Pregnant With Baby Number One – It’s A Boy!

‘General Hospital‘ star Ashley Jones is pregnant with baby number one!  The actress recently appeared on ‘General Hospital’ as Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) new love interest and college professor – but she also has been pulling double duty on the CBS soap opera ‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ as Bridget Forrester, Brooke’s daughter.  Apparently, while juggling the two soap operas and her recent marriage to husband Henricks – she managed to find time to get pregnant with her first child.

People Magazine spoke exclusively to the ‘General Hospital‘ actress’s rep and confirmed that she is indeed pregnant with her first child and her due date is in May 2016.  And, it’s a boy!  Technically this is Ashley’s first child, but she already has an adorable step-son named Huck, Henrick’s child from a previous relationship.

Ashley joked to People Magazine, “The transition into becoming a family has been full of surprises and useful lessons. Huck was only 2 when I met him, so we journeyed through potty training and sleep training together.  But I’ve been told nothing really prepares you for a newborn at home.”

Interestingly, Ashley’s character Professor Parker on ‘General Hospital’ is supposed to be Kristina’s love interest – and she will be back on the canvas next week.  It will be interesting to see how the ‘GH’ writers will explain the character’s baby bump.  Unless they are doing some creative editing and only filming scenes from the neck up.
