‘Empire’ Season 3 Spoilers: Sneak Peek Photo Of Lyon Family Released, Countdown To Fall 2016 Premiere Is On!

FOX has released a Season 3 sneak peek of the Lyon Family, and we can’t contain our excitement!  There was a lot that happened in Season 2 finale of Empire, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) took a bullet for his father, Lucious (Terrence Howard). Something he is still struggling with; but at least we know he is alive. Lucious married Anika (Grace Gealey) to prevent her from testifying against him. All this happened at the big event that was supposed to be Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) and Laura’s (Jamila Velazquez) wedding, which obviously never happened, because true to the show, a fight broke out mid-ceremony, and the bride’s father called the wedding off.

Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) attacked Anika, who is pregnant with Hakeem’s baby, after she finally admitted to being the one who pushed her down the stairs causing her to miscarry her and Andre’s (Trai Byers) baby. At the ending scenes of Season 2, you see Rhonda and Anika fighting at the edge of a balcony, and both women seemed to winning at one moment or another.

Just as Andre walks out on the balcony, one of the woman manages to push the other off the balcony, but all we hear is a scream and no face. Which woman do you hope survives? Will we see more of Andre lose control with his Bi-polar disorder, or will he stay on his medications and continue to be a successful business man? After witnessing this fight and death, how will he manage to stay in control or will it push him “over the edge” again?

For this dysfunctional family this is all part of their daily lives. Death, marriages of convenience and bullets are all par for the course on Empire. As fan, we it seems we just can’t get enough of it either. The cliffhanger for the Season 2 finale has left us screaming at out televisions and outraged that we would have to wait months for it to return.

FOX’s Empire Season 3 looks like it is going to be just as fabulous as the first two seasons, if not better! We are getting more and more excited the closer the premiere gets. Empire returns on Wednesday, September 21 at 9 p.m. on FOX.
