Daytime Soap Stars React to 2016 Daytime Emmy Nominations

Today the most anticipated wait in daytime history halted as the announcement of the Daytime Emmy Nominations was made on ‘The Talk’ on CBS.  Several of the daytime stars who were nominated took to social media to share their excitement and contentment with being nominated. Other stars who didn’t make the list sent congratulations to their co-stars while some former daytime stars did the same. Head writers, producers, directors and former daytime associates all shared congratulations to those who were announced as nominated for the upcoming Daytime Emmy Awards which be held on Sunday May 1^st.

Former ‘General Hospital’ star Kelly Thiebaud (Ex-Brit) took to Instagram sharing a video of her and her boyfriend Bryan Craig (Morgan, GH) as they watched the announcement of him being nominated in the Younger Actor category. “So happy and proud of my man!!!! 3rd times a charm!! #daytimeemmynominations @bryan_craig”, shared Craig’s elated girlfriend. This is his third nomination and if he wins, this will be first Emmy award.

Former ‘Days of Our Lives’ star Molly Burnett (Ex-Melanie) who was pre-nominated but didn’t make the cut, congratulated her former co-stars. Sharing “Wee!! Congrats to some BADASS ladies! RT @KassieDePaiva: I’m beyond THRILLED! So happy for all my buds too! #days”

”The Bold and the Beautiful” star Reign Edwards who was nominated for the first time took to twitter congratulating her other co-stars who received nominations. Edwards shared “Congratz to my fellow castmates tht were nominated!!!! @linseygodfrey @Jacob_W_Young @ObbaBabatunde @AMHorsford @PiersonFode”

Dominic Zamprogna who plays General Hospital’s Dante after receiving several congratulatory tweets, shared “Thanks everyone so much!! Very grateful. Guess I gotta getta suit! #GH #DaytimeEmmys”

The Young and the Restless’ official twitter page made congratulations to the members of it cast who were nominated by saying “Congratulations #YR cast, crew, and staff on 27 @DaytimeEmmys nominations including OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES!”
