Christmas Recipe: Y&R Alum Jessica Collins Shares An Amazing Key Lime Pie Recipe

“The Young and the Restless” alum Jessica Collins [Avery Clark] posted an amazing key lime pie recipe She noted the pie was remarkably easy and comes out perfect every single time. Jessica noted, Key Lime Pie is the ideal Thanksgiving dessert, a delicious balance between tart and sweet. She noted it was the one dish that her family requests she makes each Holiday.


Pie Filling Ingredients

5 egg yolks
1 can [14 ounces] sweetened condensed milk
½ cup fresh key lime juice [18-20 key limes squeezed, about a pound]
1 teaspoon zest of key lime
¼ teaspoon salt
1 Graham cracker crust shell
Whipped cream
Sliced lime wedges for garnish

Pie Filling Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, combine egg, condensed milk, lime juice, zest, and salt and mix thoroughly. Pour into Graham cracker crust and bake for about 10-15 minutes. Allow the pie to cool completely, slice the pie in eighths, and garnish with whipped cream and a lime slice.

Graham Cracker Crust Pie Shell Ingredients

2 cups of crushed Graham crackers
¼ brown sugar
1 stick of unsalted butter [melted]

Pie Shell Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine the Graham crackers and brown sugar. Mix in the melted butter in small amounts, making sure to blend it well. Press the pie shell mixture evenly in a nine-inch pie shell. Once the pie shell is made, pour the pie filling in the Graham cracker crust and bake! Each serving has approximately 450 calories. Each pie makes eight serving.
