‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Why Are Shane And Kimberly Returning To Salem?

As Days Of Our Lives viewers know, Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and Kimberly Brady (Patsy Pease) are returning to the show. They were a popular super-couple on the show for years and now they are back. They have made appearances over the years since they left and they are back again. Why is this popular duo back in Salem?

Are they back to lend moral support because their grandson has been kidnapped? It would make sense if they arrived to help her through that terrible time. Are they back because of their daughter Theresa (Jen Lilley)? As you know, Jen Lilley is leaving Days Of Our Lives, but the writers have been tight lipped about how she will be written off of the show.

Could the kidnapping be too much for Theresa and Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) relationship? Is Theresa going to go back to California with her parents? When Kimberly was in town before, she didn’t like Brady and wanted Theresa to move back home with her. Will they get what they want now that Tate’s kidnapping may come between the couple?

Is it possible that Theresa will be murdered and that is why they are coming back to the show? Victor (John Aniston) has let his feelings for her be very clear and it’s possible that he could hire someone to kill her to keep her away from Brady as well as their son Tate. There is word that Shane and Kimberly could be tied to Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) storyline. If Theresa is murdered, Hope will most likely be the one who investigates the murder.

According to rumors, they could be in town because someone close to them is getting married. Hope and Rafe (Galen Gering) are closer than ever and things could possibly lead to them getting married. Shane and Kimberly could be coming back to Salem for their potential wedding.

Another possible reason for Shane and Kimberly’s return could be family oriented. They could be back for the holiday season. The Bradys usually celebrate Christmas together so this would be the perfect time for the couple to come back to the show. Characters from the past have been known to show up in town for the holiday season.

There is no word on how long the popular duo will be back on the show. It will be months before we find out the reason why they have returned. They are expected to air at the end of the year.
