‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Kayla Faces Medical Crisis, Steve and Joey Fear for Her Life – Intense Drama Ahead

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that more trouble is headed for Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). These two just can’t catch a break. They’ve faced nothing but turmoil since Steve came back to Salem. That’s definitely been a big hurdle for Kayla over the last few months.

Kayla feels like Steve only brings danger and she doesn’t want that for herself or her son. Joey (James Lastovic) seems perfectly capable of finding peril on his own, but Kayla thinks Steve put Joey on that path. That may be true, but at least Steve is trying to change. He even quit his job at Black Patch and chose a quiet position as a bartender for Club TBD.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough for Kayla. She can’t forget about all of the Ava (Tamara Braun) drama and everything that followed. “Days of Our Lives” spoilers suggest that the effects of those events will continue. Another major obstacle is on the way for this family.

“Days” viewers know that Kayla suffered a brain injury after Ava delivered a massive blow to her head. Kayla has been struggling to cope with a subdural hematoma and things still aren’t looking good. DOOL’s latest promo shows Kayla being rushed to the ER with Steve and Joey by her side.

It appears Kayla will have to undergo a risky surgery to repair the damage. Steve will assure “Sweetness” that everything is going to be OK, but he’ll obviously have concerns about her fate. Joey will certainly fear that his mom won’t survive the ordeal. He’ll rely on Steve for support during this stressful crisis.

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers indicate that Kayla will eventually pull through and begin the long road to recovery. In fact, there could be a silver lining to this medical scare. DOOL rumors hint that Kayla may see just how fragile life is.
Perhaps Kayla will decide that she doesn’t want to live another moment without Steve. After all, none of us know how many moments we have left. Maybe Kayla will appreciate the comfort Steve brought her in the midst of all this. It could lead to the reconnection “Days” fans have been waiting for.

When it really counts, Steve shows up. He would do anything for Kayla and Joey. Steve may put their lives at risk sometimes, but he’s also willing to put his own life on the line to protect them.
