‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Abigail Tormented By Visions Of Ben – Escapes Shady Hills

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers include news that Abigail [Kate Mansi] will escape from Shady Hills after begging Chad [Billy Flynn] and Jennifer [Melissa Reeves] to take her home. Dr. Robinson [Anne-Marie Johnson] refuses to release Abigail and this sets Abigail’s escape plan in motion.

Abigail has no memory of starting the fire that caused horrible burns to her face, so bad that Abigail has been forced to wear a protective mask and remain heavily sedated. Shawn [Brandon Beemer] does a bit of investigating and realizes Abigail did cause the blaze at Shady Hills after being tormented by visions of Ben [Robert Scott Wilson].

In an interview in the most recent issue of Soap Opera Digest available on newsstands now Kate Mansi explains that she wanted Abigail to face her fears and keep going. “I think the story we have to tell here is peaceful. It’s like Abigail is making peace with her demons and the fact that maybe she will always be dealing with whether Ben is there or not.”

It was important to Kate to take off Abigail’s mask before her escape, which she will make after causing through Dr. Robinson’s window after causing a distraction. Kate’s last scenes will be a fantasy sequence at the DiMera mansion with Chad and baby Thomas. Kate Mansi’s last air date on ‘Days of Our Lives’ will be on June 24.

The role of Abigail has been recast and actress Marci Miller has already begun taping scenes for ‘Days of Our Lives.’ New ‘DOOL’ spoilers reveal that fans should expect to see the new Abigail appear in Salem sometime in the fall of 2016.
