Days viewers know that Hope is the hero who finally killed The Phoenix, Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). Unfortunately, her deranged ex-boyfriend Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) also knew her secret and used it to blackmail the Salem detective.
That’s why it came as a welcome surprise this week when Aiden gave up the gambit and turned his evidence over to Hope. Or did he?
He definitely gave her a flash drive containing her murderous confession. Along with the device, the cad promised Hope that he was through with his twisted plan and that this was the only evidence in existence. Whew!

Hope raced to tell her boyfriend Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) that they were out of danger and could finally be together. Logical Rafe, also a Salem officer, questioned the validity of Aiden’s promise. Hope assured the doubting Thomas that they have nothing to worry about, and sealed it with a kiss.
Not so fast, Hope! There’s at least one other copy of her confession out there, and it’s in the hands of killer and kidnapper extraordinaire Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). This is risky business for Hope, her family, her health and her happiness!
Stefano was Andre’s father and he’s been chomping at the bit to avenge his death. What evil deed is he planning to add to his resume this time around?
Andre and Hope share an unhappy history. He’s taken her hostage in the past and he tried to kill her in Ireland.
Hope is a worthy adversary, as she’s shown in recent months. Not only did she rid the town of its resident evil, Stefano DiMera, she recently escaped a collapsed house and defused a human bomb.
It will be exciting to see how Hope tries to outfox murderous Andre in the coming months!
