‘Days Of Our Lives’ Poll: How Will Daniel Cosgrove Return – A Ghost, A New Character, Or Back From The Dead? Vote!

Days of Our Lives (Days) fans have been gleefully speculating online how writers will bring back Daniel Cosgrove (ex-Aiden Jennings) to the show’s canvas since the recent announcement that the actor will return to Salem.

Fans of Cosgrove, Aiden, and Haiden (the nickname given to his romantic pairing with Hope Brady) felt slighted and made it known, when Aiden left the show. After being a classic soap good-guy (who can forget those innocent, adorable dimples?) for almost a year and proposing marriage to Hope, who happily accepted, he made a swift and discomfiting turn of character trying to strangle Hope.

Hope’s long-lost love, Bo, burst into the scene and saved the day, killing Aiden in defense of his true love, allowing the super-couple that supercouple-to-end-all-supercouples to reunite. Convenient for a recoupling of Bo/Hope much, many fans asked?

Will Aiden Jennings Return From The Dead?

So, no wonder fans have been unable to stop themselves from wondering: how will Aiden come back now?  We soap fans all know that death never stopped anyone from coming back to a show. And many of us count this among the aspects of soaps we love. Nothing bad has to be permanent. So will Aiden come back from the dead? If so, will he be a devilish murderer again, causing more problems for the “rolling in the deep,” to use Adele’s words, Hope? Or will he be Good Aiden, having some explanation for his sudden pre-death shift in behavior and help Hope out of her many current troubles?

Will Daniel’s Return Be Brief As Aiden’s Ghost?

Will he be a ghost, coming to counsel his deeply troubled son, Chase? This is an especially intriguing possibility, as the murder his father attempted and subsequent killing of him by Bo has had Chase acting out, to say the least. He has been bullying high school classmate, Theo, via text message, running away from the family (Hope’s) that has taken him in an attempt to salvage his tattered life. And now, Days spoilers say he may do the unthinkable and rape Ciara under the influence of Andre, who wants nothing more than to avenge his father’s murder by Hope.

Could Cosgrove Be Playing A New ‘Days’ Character?

Or, will Cosgrove play a totally new character in one of the many soap tropes familiar to us fans? Someone, perhaps a family member, who happens to look identical to him, a twin brother, or cousin (a la Luke Spencer and Bill Eckert)? Someone who for whatever reason got plastic surgery to look like him? Someone who looks like him but we aren’t told why at first or maybe ever?
