One of Vincent’s skills is playing the piano which viewers witnessed in today’s episode of “DOOL” when he played the entirety of Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata.” Vincent previously played the same song during his run on ‘All My Children’ as David Hayward, but at that time it was a much shorter snippet.
In regards to his character’s musical role he spoke with Soap Central. Vincent highlights that it has been a while since he played saying, “It’s been a long time since I’ve played classical piano.”
Vincent said he was a bit nervous, this was something that was done live that he could not make any mistakes while doing. “It was a lot, and it was nerve wrecking,” he said. “It was a quiet set with everyone watching and listening, and I was hoping and praying in my mind, I’ve got to get through this, because if I didn’t, we’d all have to go all the way back to the beginning,” he added. He noted that while he was a bit nervous it was a lot of fun. Vincent is impressed with the writers for incorporating this into the story.
This was not Vincent’s first musical role he played Guiding Light’s rock star character Lujack. Aside from his run on AMC, Days and GL he played David Chow on ‘The Young and the Restless’. If you haven’t watched today’s episode be sure to tune in and see his talented musical rendition.
