‘Days of Our Lives’ News: Tobin Bell Cast as Long Lost Father Yo Ling– Possible Key To John Black’s Past

Entertainment Weekly exclusively reports that Bell will be part of a five-episode storyline which will bring Yo Ling to Salem on March 11. The arrival of the mystery man will bring John’s search for his father to an end. But will John’s father provide all the answers John seeks?

John has always believed his father was a Korean war hero who died just three weeks before John’s birth.

Tobin Bell portrayed Jigsaw/John Kramer in the series of “Saw” films. It was recently announced that there will be another film, “Saw: Legacy” and Tobin will reportedly return as to portray the iconic horror film character.

The actor has an impressive list of television and movie credits dating back four decades. One of Bell’s first credited role was as Agent Stokes in the big screen movie “Mississippi Burning” starring Gene Hackman and Willem Dafoe in 1988. Television credits include Donad Selness on the ABC crime drama “NYPD Blue,” Theodore Kaczynski in the television movie, “Unabomber: The True Story,” Peter Kingsley on the FOX drama “24,” and Nathan Volk on the television miniseries “Revelations.” 

Yo Ling may unlock many secrets that will help John Black discover his past. “Days of Our Lives” fans do you think this will be good for John or bad? Will it put more strain on his marriage to Dr. Marlena Evans [Deidre Hall]?

At this time Bell has filmed 5 episodes for “Days of Our Lives.” Depending on where the storyline goes viewers may not see the last of Yo Ling in Salem.
