‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Robert Wilson’s Return As Ben Weston Confirmed

‘Days Of Our Lives‘ rumors surrounding Robert Scott Wilson’s status at the NBC soap opera have been floating around for months now.  ‘DOOL’ fans have been speculating whether or not we have seen the last of Wilson’s psychopath character Ben Weston.  Ben was finally revealed to be the “Necktie Killer” and carted off to prison after nearly taking out Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) – but the actor has been hinting that he would be popping back up on the NBC soap opera soon and that was not his official exit.

Robert Wilson hinted in an interview with Soap Opera Digest that his character would “continue to haunt” the residents of Salem – and he did send out a few mysterious tweets about whether or not he was still a member of the ‘DOOL‘ cast.  Soap Central reported on January 25th that Wilson’s return to the NBC soap opera has been confirmed and he will be back on the NBC soap opera in the near future.  The website revealed, “A rep for the show confirms that Wilson will indeed be popping up on the canvas again soon.”

It’s unclear in what capacity Ben will be returning – it could be something as simple as Abigail having a nightmare or a flashback to her near death experience in the cabin.  Some ‘DOOL‘ fans believe that Ben Weston might be escaping for prison for another killing spree.  The most reasonable theory floating around is that there will be some ‘Orange Is The New Black‘ prison themes coming up – and some scenes of Ben in prison.  In 2015 NBC put out a casting call for several prison inmates, and their scenes would be airing in Spring 2016.
