‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Ken Corday Teases Leann Hunley’s Return – Shocking Baby Story For Nicole – Plus Chabby Spoilers

‘Days of Our Lives’ will continue to turn up the heat this summer with a hot new storylines, love triangles, secrets revealed and big surprise returns. Executive Producer Ken Corday had a really nice chat with Glamour where he dished on what’s coming up for the NBC soap opera.

‘Days of Our Lives’ will celebrate its 51st anniversary in November this year and it promises to be good. Today, the show airs it 13000th episode and it has been a terrific week with lots of Emmy worthy material. What’s in the works for the show later this year other than the returns of Jamie Lynn Bauer [Laura Horton], Matthew Ashford [Jack Deveraux] and others you may ask?

And, the answer is more returns. According to Corday, there are more returns in the works and a lot of surprises. One return he disclosed of was the return of Leann Hunley [Anna DiMera]. When he was asked about it he shared “There are more surprise returns from the past to come. Leann Hunley (Anna) will be back in Salem [as well].” So of course fans will wonder what brings Anna back to Salem.

He went on further to share that these returns may be short term saying, “You know, they come in for two or three months and then they go away and then they come back, and there’s a little mystery cloaked in it. We’ll even see some other characters that were as popular in the past, but I can’t let that one out of the bag.”

But, returns are not the only thing the hardworking Executive Producer has planned – he has major storyline twists in the works as well. According to Corday there is a fun baby storyline coming up. He shared that he is very excited about the storylines that involve Gabi [Camila Banus] and JJ [Casey Moss] and also Chad [Billy Flynn] and Abby [Marci Miller].

He added that he is also excited about Nicole’s [Arianne Zucker], story the one that involves Deimos [Vincent Irizarry] and Chloe [Nadia Bhorlin]. He hinted that another huge return is expected and this time the person is connected to Brady [Eric Martsolf], who could it be fans – possibly Kristen DiMera [Eileen Davidson]?

“Again, a big surprise, and a great part of Nicole’s past and life experience in Salem. It’s a baby story, and those seem to work well for us,” he told Glamour. Adding that it’s a shocker storyline “Who’s baby is it will be a shocker”.

In regards to the Rafe [Galen Gering] and Hope [Kristian Alfonso] story it seems that they will end up together as Corday highlighted that the show doesn’t want to get there instantly but they plan to.

’Chabby’ fans can look for the new Abby in form of Marci Miller to air after Christmas as indicated by Corday. ‘Days’ will be on a brief break when the Olympics air for a couple weeks and in regards to its break and return Corday shared “We’ll certainly end on a cliffhanger. We’ll come back with a real bang.” We look forward to it!
