‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Charles Shaughnessy And Patsy Pease Dish On ‘DOOL’ Return, They’ll Be Sticking Around!

The return of Charles Shaughnessy [Shane Donovan] and Patsy Pease [Kim Donovan] to ‘Days Of Our Lives‘ has been well anticipated. With their first episodes slated to air this fall, Pease and Shaughnessy dished on their return in the latest issue of the Soap Opera Digest Magazine.

They both are thrilled to be working together again. What exactly brings them back to Salem is yet to be revealed, with their on-screen daughters Theresa [Jen Lilley] in Salem and Eve [Kassie DePaiva] returning, the storyline should no doubt be interesting. And, according to what Shaughnessy shared with SOD the story is quite interesting.

Shaughnessy, who was last seen in 2013, dished that he wanted more of a compelling story than just returning for one or two episodes. It seems he has always wanted to return but there was never really a substantial storyline to lead to that. However, he revealed that this time around the story is substantial and his stay is longer than just a few episodes. “When I got the call this time, I was told it would be a little more substantial, and it seemed like something that would be much more in line with what I wanted to do” he shared.

Pease, on the other hand, was seen last year in the midst of the baby reveal including Theresa, Brady [Eric Martsolf] and Kristen DiMera [Ex-Eileen Davidson], was welcoming to a Days return. She told SOD that when she was notified of the request to return she was jumping up and down. She was so anxious to work with her on-screen husband, Shaughnessy another time.
