‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: 5 ‘DOOL’ Characters That Really Need Storylines

Over time on daytime soap operas you find that characters are lacking storylines. And when these things happen, you also find that either the actors exit for lack of storyline or they are written out. Today we’ve taken the time to look through ‘Days of Our Lives’ cast list for characters we recognize are desperately in need of storylines. Below we have a selection of 5 characters that need storylines before it leads to an exit.

Abe and Theo Carver

Played by James Reynolds and Kyler Pettis respectively, they are father and son. When the character of Lani Pryce [Ex-Sal Stowers] was introduced as Abe’s daughter and Theo’s sister, there was so much potential for an interesting storyline. However due to lack of story the character of Lani was written out, this now leaves us with just Abe and Theo. We rarely see Abe and likewise we hardly see Theo these days. Theo also had potential story when the show was exploring a relationship with Ciara [Vivian Jovani], this relationship however has ended. Then Abe on the other hand had his own romantic development going when Maxine [Aloma Wright] was around, but now she is not. Other than being a father to Theo and being the police commissioner, Abe really has no essence in Salem unless given a storyline. What if ‘Days of Our Lives’ decided to revive Abe’s most significant pairing Lexie Carver [Ex-Renee Jones], and then they could explore a story of the parents with a grown up Theo? Do you agree fans?

Paul Narita

Christopher Sean, the portrayer, has been teasing an interesting storyline coming up for a while now. The fans have been waiting patiently to see this story. What could it be many have been asking? Since the exit of his co-stars Guy Wilson [Will Horton], Spencer Neville [Derrick] and Freddie Smith [Sonny Kiriakis], Paul hasn’t had much of a story. Other than the reveal of him being John Black’s [Drake Hogestyn] son, and him modeling there has not been much of a story for him. With the return of Sonny, things could be changing, so we may not have to worry about the lack of storyline for him.

Gabi Hernandez

Some viewers might question why we placed her on the list. But without her modeling gig, a real job and some turn of events in her life there isn’t much story. The only significant thing about the character right now is her pairing with JJ [Casey Moss] and her presence in the Hernandez family. The writers should look into more romantic moments for her and JJ and probably some relationship woes to give the character some juicy and well deserved material.

Maggie Horton

Likewise, viewers may question the reason we placed her on the list. Look at her involvement in the Deimos [Vincent Irizarry]/Victor [John Aniston] rivalry, isn’t that enough? And then her long lost daughter is in town, Summer [Marie Wilson] isn’t that enough as well? With Marie Wilson’s pending exit that only leaves her as a supporting character for the Victor/Deimos rivalry which to us isn’t much of her own storyline. Maggie needs something more, something worthy of the fine talent and abilities of her portrayer Suzanne Rogers.

Roman Brady

Josh Taylor is no doubt an excellent actor. Roman is the current police commissioner, other than storylines involving a murder, a felony or some illegal activity we don’t really see him. We’ve been looking back and we see some high points for the character when he was romantically involved and when his children were around. Currently Roman has no children in Salem, he is also a single man and this could be the reason for his lack of storyline. There are some single women in Salem that the writers could pair him with or they could think of a love triangle for the character, what do you think fans?
